Intergroup Board and Delegate Meeting

Orange County monthly Board and Delegates meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month (unless that day is near a major holiday).

The next Intergroup meeting dates: Sep. 9th (2nd Thurs), Oct. 7th and Nov. 4th, 2010

Intergroup Meeting Format:

There will be a Special Feature. or Speaker sharing Experience-Strength-& Hope, at the beginning of the regular Intergroup meeting of Orange County delegates, starting at 7:30 pm, for approximately 20-25 minutes. The Intergroup meeting will continue immediately following.

The Service Board meeting starts at 6:30 pm; At approximately 7:20 pm, there will be a break for New delegate orientation, followed by a Speaker or Special Topic Workshop and the monthly Intergroup meeting at 7:30 pm. The meetings are held at St Matthews Church, 1111 Town & Country Rd., Orange, California, in the Parish Hall. The church is located in the Town & Country Business Complex. The Parish Hall faces Town & Country Road.

Our program is based on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. Meeting formats may vary, as shown below. For example, some meetings feature a speaker while others focus on studying the 12 Steps. HOW meetings are those that offer suggestions for recovery. Chips are small tokens given for accomplishments along the way. We suggest you try more than one type of meeting. Smoking is not permitted.

Although some meetings have a particular emphasis, all meetings are open to anyone with a desire to stop eating compulsively. Some meetings are 'Open' to all individuals, including non-compulsive eaters. These meetings are designated by the word 'Open'.
